William “Bill” Joseph Rogers, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at St. Elizabeth in Appleton. On August 31, 1941, William was born in Neenah to the late Lawrence and Marcella (Gerber) Rogers. Bill grew up in Neenah and was a 1959 graduate of Neenah High School. He learned to become a Machinist and worked and retired from American Can after 42 years of employment. He was a lifetime member of his union group AFLCIO and was also a member of the Fox Valley Retirees. Fishing and hunting at his cabin in Cayuga and spending time at his cottage on Shawano Lake were some of his most favorite memories that he was privileged to share with his family and friends. Bill also enjoyed golfing and going for weekly Sheepshead wagon rides.
Bill will be dearly missed by his wife, Shirley; his children: Robert (Corrine) Rogers, Daniel (Marsha) Rogers, and Jayme (Mike) Seider; his step-children: Kurt (Nancy) Meunier and Kelly (Jeff) Hoffmann; his grandchildren: Amanda Rogers, Olivia (Doug) Birch, Grace Rogers, Lincoln and Liberty Rogers, Emily and Madeline Seider; his step-grandchildren: Linley Bruntz, Cory Hoffmann and Shannon (Eric) Juneau; his great-grandson, Braeden Rogers; his step-great-grandchildren: Charlotte and Vivian Bruntz; his siblings: Larry (Pat) Rogers, Mary (Greg) Bares, Frank (Kaye) Rogers, Jim (Gloria) Rogers, Walter (Bonnie) Rogers; and his beloved four-legged companion, Carmel.
A Time of Remembrance for Bill will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Kessler-Fahrenkrug Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial Street, Neenah. The Memorial Gathering will be held from 1:00 pm until the Time of Remembrance. Online condolences may be given at www.kesslerfh.com
