Rosemarie A. Card

June 10, 1937 ~ November 11, 2021 (age 84)

Obituary

Rosemarie A. Card went home to be with our Lord and Savior early Thursday morning November 11, 2021 at the age of 84. She was born on June 10, 1937. Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Louise Albrecht, her four brother’s, Sylvester, James, Richard and Harvey. Rose was also preceded in death by her high school sweetheart, her husband, father to her children and love of her life, Thomas L. Card. She was also preceded by his parents Acel and Phyllis Card and his sister Joan. His siblings Jim and Vicki still live locally. Rose and Tom's second child, Timothy Allen Card also died May 16, 2021. Tim's wife Brenda and his mom miss him very much. Tim worked at K.C for over 40 years. He loved his wife Brenda, his motorcycle and hunting.

Rose’s four living children, Tom Jr. (Isabel), Laura, George (Susan) and Kathy are deeply saddened at the loss of their mom but rejoice in the fact that they will see her again in heaven. Rose leaves behind four grandchildren Cindy (Ron), Chris (Ian- Kim),Tim (Charee) and their mother Jelma. Rose's local grandson Kenny Cloutier is heart-broken.

She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren; David, Siam (Sara), Iana, Carly, Jackson, Byron & Christian. Rose and Tom had many nieces, nephews and cousins - The Prothero, Albrecht,  McKenzie, Dachel and Card families.

Rose and Tom were affectionately known as Ma and Dad by many of their children's high school friends. Tony, Stacey, Sharon, Pam and Kim remained friends with Rose throughout their adult life.  After Tom passed away, Rose had a long time companionship with Donnie Moderson who passed away in 2017. Rose also lost her childhood friend Bob Green in 2020. Rose lived a long, sometimes hard, but good life. She out lived most, but Lavella Squires has lost her best friend. Rose spent her last year living at ALTEN HAUS in Neenah. "Rose was a little lady that left a big hole", said one staff member.

During her final years, Rose had a corporate guardian Patrick. Patrick was her guardian angel always making sure that she had the best quality care and all her needs met. Thank you.

Rose was a true believer and loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She lived most of her 84 years as a Catholic; nine years at St Joseph's Catholic School gave her a strong foundation. Over the past three years, Rose has been attending Mill City Church in Neenah. She was baptized at Mill City in 2019. Rose participated in Betty Jo and Randy's life group on Sunday nights. Led by Ron, or as Rose would say, “the big guy that talks a lot.” The love and acceptance that Rose received from this group changed her life forever. Life group was so supportive and even in the end some came to visit her, reading & singing with her. Rose asked, "do you guys always eat at church"? So many of us are heart- broken over the loss of Sweet Mamma Rose but we rejoice knowing that we will all meet again in heaven with Jesus.
