Richard “Dick” Landskron, age 98, of Neenah, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 with his family by his side. Dick was born on January 10, 1922 in Neenah son of the late, Carl and Julia (Gracyalny) Landskron. After graduation from Menasha High School he served in the Navy for three years. Dick worked for American Can/James Rivers and retired after 44 years. After retirement he enjoyed wintering at his home in Florida with his wife Joan. While in Florida he spent many hours volunteering for Bay Pines Veteran’s Hospital. Dick enjoyed playing cards every Tuesday with his five buddies. He loved watching the Packers, playing golf, and in his younger years, playing basketball and bowling. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he also liked helping his daughter make frosting for her cake business.
Dick is survived his wife, Joan of 74 years; three daughters: Pat Pedersen, Sue (Gary) Presteen, Cathy (Brian) Sitzberger; seven grandchildren: Scott Pedersen, Kris (Clayton) Samuelson, Eric (Heidi) Presteen, Todd (Teresa) Sitzberger, Troy (Tiffany) Sitzberger, Tara (Jay) Farmer, Holly (Nawai) Kane; 14 great-grandchildren: Brittany, Nick, Madison, Jaden, Mikaela, Lauren, Kailey, Carter, Teegan, Landen, Ellie, Ivy, Deacon and Callie; a brother-in- law, Duane (Pauline) Schultz; many nieces, nephews and dear friends, especially his buddy Bailey.
Dick was preceded in death by four brothers: John (Violet), Harry (Gloria), Carl (Janet), Fred (Bernice); three sisters: Emily (Louis) Gammey, Marian (William) Brown, Dolores (Clem) Gawinski.
The Funeral mass for Dick will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2020 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at which time there will be a sharing of memories prior to mass. Entombment will be at Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum.
