Jay A. Strauss, age 73, of Appleton, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Alten Haus of Neenah. Jay was born on July 5, 1948 in Marietta, Georgia. He was a huge model airplane enthusiast and was a member and past president of the Valley Aero Modelers Club. Jay was also a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran.

Jay is survived by his mother, Belle W. Strauss; siblings, Betty (Jed) Stander, Chuck (Sue) Strauss, Carol (Chris) Trantow and Bruce (Penny Jane) Strauss. He is further survived by a son, Brian (Rebecca) Strauss; nieces and nephews, David, Jennifer, Angela, Charlie, Matthew, Katie, Jacob and Joshua; grandchildren, Chris and Heather and great-grandchildren, Noah and Harper. Jay was preceded in death by his father, Charles Strauss Jr., sisters, Cindy Ingalls and April Strauss and a niece Beth Ingalls. There will be no services held.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and also the caring staff at Alten Haus where he had been a resident for the last two years.
