Janice R. Lee, age 77 of Neenah, passed away at Island Shores on Saturday, September 25, 2021 with her family by her side. Jan was born on August 11, 1944 in Neenah, daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Gallmeier) Cihlar. She lived on Green Bay Road in Neenah while growing up, graduated from Neenah High School in 1962 and remained a lifelong Neenah resident. Jan married Robert Lee at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church on December 27, 1966.
Jan loved interior decorating, especially at the holidays. She was known for her beautiful flower gardens and enjoyed planning the many gorgeous landscaping projects that she and Bob completed together at their home. Jan also loved camping and traveling in their RV all across the country. Her favorite campground was Hartman Creek State Park in Waupaca. Spending time at Little Sweden each year in Door County and quality family time at her daughter’s cottage in Mountain were two things she always looked forward to doing. Anyone that knew Jan also knew that she loved to eat out — especially sipping a Mocha Frappe from McDonald’s! Many years getting together with the “card club,” as well as a “homemakers group” in her younger years, were always times she loved. She was a member of the Roadtrek International and Wisconsin Voyagers RV clubs.
Jan is survived by her husband Robert of 54 years; her children, Sherry (Jim) Rougeux and Andy (Melanie Bloy) Lee; her grandchildren: Jackson Rougeux, Madeline, Alaina, and Annalise Lee. She is further survived by two sisters; Sandi (Gary) Masterson, Nancy (Mike) Pertmer, and a brother-in-law, William Lee.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marie Cihlar; a sister, Joyce (Don) Truesdale, a sister-in-law, Nancy Lee, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Mildred Lee.
