Obituary

Hazel L. Missall, age 98, of Neenah, passed away peacefully at Island Shores on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Hazel was born on June 21, 1923 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Edward and Alvina (Blair) Hartzheim. She married Arthur H. Missall and he preceded her in death on February 18, 1970. Hazel was employed at Wisconsin Tissue Mills for 19 years before retirement. She enjoyed, crocheting, embroidery, bingo, bowling and playing the slot machines. Hazel was also an active member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church for many years.

She is survived by her children: Dennis (Susan) Missall, Donald (Ruth) Missall and Debra (William) Brown; her grandchildren: Marni (Kerry) Bruntz, Melinda (T.J.) Steiner, Scott (Jodi) Missall, Mark (Kim) Missall, Robb (Kristen) Missall, Patrick (K.C.) Missall, Jennifer (Jeremy) Gill, Matthew (Dany) Missall, Pamela (Jonathan) Kuffel, Amanda (Patrick) Surfus, and Ashley (Tyler) Ronsman. She is further survived by 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Noreen Vanden Heuvel and Iva (Tom) Tummett, a brother: Edward Hartzheim; two sisters-in-law, Delores Hartzheim and Barbara Hartzheim, and a brother-in-law, Walter Kosiorek; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and a special friend, Jan.

In addition to her parents and husband, Hazel was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, David (Danita) Missall, sisters and brothers- in-law Sophia (Earl) Austin, Alvina (Roland) Piette; brother and sister- in- law Sylvester (Bethel) Hartzheim; brothers Howard and Ronald Hartzhiem; sister Theodora Kosiorek; sister-in-law Barbara Hartzheim and brother- in- law Eugene Vanden Heuvel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in St. Margaret Cemetery. For online condolences, please visit: www.kesslerfh.com.
