Obituary

Gary L. Besaw, age 53, of Neenah, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.  Gary was born on June 9, 1966 in Neenah, son of the late John and Helen (Lippert) Besaw.  He graduated from Neenah High School in 1983.  Gary enjoyed golfing, spending time hunting with his dad and brothers and the many fishing trips taken to Canada and Minnesota.  He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers. Gary was very proud of his 18 months of sobriety. 

He is survived by his siblings; Randy (Pam) Besaw, Julie (Nev Hayes) Besaw, Laurie Besaw, Mike (Dana) Besaw and Lisa (Brian) Ehricke; his nieces and nephews; Amanda Besaw, Ali (Hill) McCraw, Sharon (Erik) Hellengreen, Jennifer (Mark) Diederich, Jacalyn (Andrew Pivonka) Raehl, Joseph (Jamie) Raehl, Matt Miller, Katie Miller, Eli Sprague, Bryce (Edward) Besaw, Mitchell, Carter and Grace Ehricke, Heather (Jessica) Besaw, Christy (Charles) Dyson, many great nieces and nephews; his longtime good friend and roommate, Dave “Skip” Rathsack, and his best friend and significant other, Deanna Raatz and her family, Norman and Nancy Raatz, Todd (Joanne) Raatz and Scott Raatz. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Possum. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
