Obituary

On Friday January 15, 2021 Derek J. Buss, 37, father, son and brother passed away unexpectedly. Derek was born June 20, 1983 son of James J. Buss and Cathie Stelow. He grew up in Greenville and graduated from Hortonville High School where he participated in many sports. Derek worked at Oshkosh Door, a job which he loved. His true passion in life was being a father to his 3 amazing kids. Family meant everything to him. Together, they enjoyed many activities including fishing, camping, sledding, football, going to parks, swimming, and just being together. Derek’s sister, mother and step- father, along with his kids made his family complete. Derek was a humble, kind, loving, gentle soul and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was known for his humor and ability to make you feel important.  His smile captured our hearts from day one and showed his genuine spirit.

Derek is forever in the hearts of his children, his first born pride and joy Derek Jr., his first baby girl whom he adored Adelynn and Vada, his blonde, blue eyed beauty who he loved so much; his mother, Cathie (Bob) Stelow; his father, James J.
