Cynthia Sue Gloede, age 58, of Menasha, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 due to complications of Crohn’s disease.
But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self- control. Against such things, there is no law.
Cindy was born on March 5, 1962 in Oshkosh, daughter of Peter and Sue (Paulson) Kosmer. She was a graduate of Neenah High School Class of 1980. Cindy married Robert Gloede on September 20, 1986 in Oshkosh. Cindy enjoyed raising her family and loved and cared for many children. She also loved doing counted cross stitch. She was an avid volunteer with many organizations including St. Vincent de Paul and was also a Brownie, Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Robert; her children: Matthew (Zachary Stumpf) Gloede, Nicholas (Kelly) Gloede and Kathryn Susan Rose Gloede (Colin Romenesko). She is further survived by her parents, Peter and Sue Kosmer; her sisters, Sheila (Rick) Koeller and Connie (Perry) Kitzinger; her in-laws, Karen Dorn (Dave), Tom (Mary) Gloede, Bill (Sue) Gloede, Dan (Dawn) Gloede, Mary (Tom) Ciske, Rick (Cindy) Gloede, Laurie (Dan) Dahlke, Pete (Jamie) Gloede, Jen (Tim) Peat, and Sarah (Alvaro) Lacayo; a special nephew and niece, Chris (Maggie) Kresal and their children, “Cindy’s grandbabies”, Kellyn, Logan, Koralyn, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and also special friends, Tom and Cindy Scherer.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elwyn “Bud” and Carol (Mulvey) Gloede, two sisters-in law, Susan Rose and Jayne Marie, a brother-in-law, Rick Dorn, her grandparents, Barney and Helen Paulson and Sylvester and Florine Kosmer, and a close family friend, Carol Nantke.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. The service will be livestreamed on the Kessler Funeral Home and Cremation Service Facebook page.
