Charles Francis Moder, 82, of Neenah, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Theda Care Medical Center in Neenah.
Charles was born on November 20, 1939, in Clintonville, Wisconsin, the son of George and Loretta (Thebo) Moder. He attended St. Rose school and graduated from Clintonville High School class of 1958.
On July 14, 1962, he was united in marriage to his high-school sweetheart, Mary Anne Anderson, at St. Rose Church in Clintonville. Charles worked at Galloway Company in Neenah. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching the Brewers and the Packers. Charlie enjoyed listening to music, going to flea markets and thrift shops, and collecting tools and fishing equipment. He was especially proud of his Christmas ornament collection and annual tree decorating. His greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Mary Anne; son, Charles (Dawn) of Oshkosh; daughter, Christine (Peter) Skogg of Green Bay; and son, Russell (Judy) of Verona; six grandchildren: Justine (Daniel) Herndon, Whitney Moder, Jason Moder, Nathan Moder, Charles Skogg, and Molly Moder; two great-grandsons: Torin and Lachlan Herndon. He is further survived by brother, Glenn (Myrna) Moder, sisters: Susie Rogers and Polly Rodgers; sisters-in-law: Pat Moder, Nancy Moder, and Mary Moder; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Lyle, Leonard, Wesley, Wayne, and Ron; brothers-in-law: Norm Rodgers and Evan Rogers, and sister-in-law, Alice Moder.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St. in Neenah with Mass of Resurrection at 11:30 AM. Lunch will be served in the church hall after mass. Interment will be Tuesday, June 7 at 11:00 AM at St. Rose Cemetery in Clintonville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Smile Train or the charity of your choice
