Brandon Anthony Thurber, 28 of Neenah passed away on Sunday, August 8th, 2021, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born February 9, 1993, the son of Tony Thurber and Tracy Gressler. He graduated from Neenah High School, Class of 2011. Ever since Brandon was a young boy, he loved taking things apart and putting them back together and wrenching on whatever he could put his hands on. Brandon lived life to the fullest, never a dull moment when he was around. He loved anything with motors; racing BMX bikes at age 5, racing go-karts at age 9, snowmobiling, motorcycles and diesels – anything that went fast and wide open. Brandon was the 2004 state champion for go-kart racing and 2005 points champion. He would light up a room with his smile, beautiful eyes, greasy safety yellow shirt and quirky sense of humor. Brandon was an amazing father, cherished his children with his whole heart, whom his memory will live on through forever.
Brandon was currently in construction working as a heavy equipment operator. He also had the skills to sell an Eskimo ice cubes and there wasn’t anything that he couldn’t fix and flip for a buck. Brandon always put his family first and made sure they had everything they needed. Brandon had a huge heart and would always be there to lend a helping hand and would even give you his greasy shirt off his back, that’s if you would want it.
Brandon is survived by his parents; Tony (Heather) Thurber and Tracy (Dan) Gressler; his children Mason and Quinn Dutter, his fiancé, Marissa Schuelke and their children Zaelyn, Brayden and Kalob Thurber, his siblings; Brett (Nicole) Buksyk, Carley (Tyler) Buksyk, and Khloe and Aubrey Thurber. He is also survived by Marissa’s parents; Angie (Joe) Luebke, his grandparents; George (Linda) Ciuplinski, Nancy Gahr (John Kosmerchock), Pam Klassen and Kate Gressler; Marissa’s siblings; Brianna (Bret) Schuelke, Michaela Schuelke and Keera Luebke; his Godparents; Marty Thurber and Amy Schmoll, numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Brandon was preceded in death by his Papa Dick Klassen, Grandpa Lewis Clark, Step Grandpa Tim Gressler and step brother Thorton Gressler.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Mill City Church, 120 N. Lake St, Neenah with Pastor Steve Spence officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
