Richard A. Neubauer, age 79, of Neenah, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, February 16, 2019 with family by his side. Richard was born on August 11, 1939 in Neenah to the late Edward and Agnes (Mix) Neubauer. After graduating from Menasha High School, he entered the U.S. Army from 1958 until 1961, serving in Germany for 27 months. Richard married Jean Reinke on May 11, 1963 and she survives him. He was employed with Kimberly Clark until his retirement in 1996. Richard enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his younger years, he loved reading, especially history and he enjoyed keeping up with current events.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his son, Andrew Neubauer, his daughter, Sara (Brien) Ratchman, his grandchildren, Luke, Jacob (Lauren), Nathan, Matthew and Tessa Jean, and his great-grandchildren, Jace and Owen. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Neubauer and members of Jean’s family. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James (Elizabeth) Neubauer and a sister-in-law, Nancy Neubauer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Neenah-Menasha Funeral Honors Team following services.
