Lawrence P. Trudeau

May 19, 2019

Lawrence "Larry" P. Trudeau, age 65, of Oshkosh, WI passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Edenbrook Nursing Home in Oshkosh.

Larry was born on March 11, 1954 to the late Lawrence and Constance Trudeau. He was married on March 10, 1985 to Joan M. Schlenske and together they had three amazing and loving children. In 1987 Larry and Joni moved to Mokena, IL where they bought their first home. Through a lot of hard work, determination, loyalty, and strong work ethic, he opened his own company L.T. Installations, which he owned and operated until he retired.

Larry's number one passion in life, first and foremost, were his children and family. He was an amazing father who was always there for his children. Day or night the kids always knew he was just a phone call away. Larry was their hero. He taught them how to appreciate all the beauty this world has to offer. He loved the north woods and spent many summers and winters up in Cable, WI. Larry loved to trout fish on the Namakagon River as well as canoeing and sharing special moments sitting on a rock with his children by his side. He had an amazing love for nature and it showed through when he shared precious moments with his children, teaching them how to "talk" to the birds and have them respond. Larry never criticized, judged  or made anyone feel unloved. Everyone who knew him admired him for his loyalty, honesty, kindness, gentle soul and the passion he had for his family. Larry's honest and generous nature, strong work ethic, his respect for family and friends, his  gentle heart and pure soul will always be remembered by those who knew him and loved him. Those who were blessed and honored to be a part of his life will always be reminded of him just by looking around at all the beautiful gifts bestowed upon us through nature. Trees, flowers, blue skies, thunderstorms, the ocean, lakes and rivers are just a few of these gifts he loved.

Larry is survived by his lifelong friend and the mother of his children: Joni Trudeau; three children: Jessica Trudeau-Burns, L. Justin Trudeau, Alexandrea Trudeau; four grandchildren: Desmontae Burns, Lillian Kane, Gavin Trudeau, Maximus Trudeau; brother: David (Karen) Trudeau; four sisters: Mimi Trudeau, Colleen O'Brien, Nanette Trudeau (Rick) Rassmussen, Michelle Trudeau (John) Spanjers; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Larry's family will be taking him "Home" to set him free at the Namakogon River as he requested. There will be a private memorial service for family and close friends at a later date in Cable, Wisconsin.

My Dearest Friend, you will remain a part of me always. You took a piece of my heart with you and when I enter into the next life I will find you, love you and cherish you for eternity
