Kevin K. Koehn, age 60, of Neenah, passed away from complications from Downs Syndrome on Monday, March 12, 2018. He was born son of the late Anthony S. and Blanche Koehn (La Berge) on October 26, 1957, in Neenah, Wisconsin. Kevin was a graduate of Gillingham School in Neenah and was later employed by both Neenah Work Adjustment and Lakeside Packaging.
Kevin was an avid sports fan, whether it be cheering on his beloved Green Bay Packers or participating in the Special Olympics, sports brought a smile to Kevin’s face. Kevin’s family could often find him watching All-Star Wrestling or bowling to pass the time. In his youth, he enjoyed vacationing with his parents in Brownsville, Texas.
He is survived by his loving family- Brothers: Tony (Mary Jane) Koehn - Neenah, WI; Judd (Kathy) Koehn - Summerville, OR; David (Rebecca) Koehn - Fort Myers, FL; Brian Koehn and fiance, Laura Rosen - N. Fort Myers, FL. Kevin is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother,Richard Koehn, and great nephew Tylor Koehn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church 900 Geiger Street, Neenah, with Rev. Larry Siedl celebrating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 a.m. until10:45 a.m. A time of sharing will be held at 10:45 a.m. prior to the Mass.
Our special thanks to the staff and friends at Atrium Nursing Home in Neenah for their love, care, and compassion for Kevin over the past two and a half years, and an additional thank you to the staff and friends at American Grand Assisted Living in Neenah, WI for their dedication to Kevin these last two weeks.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established for Wisconsin Special Olympics in Kevin Koehn’s honor.
