Kathryn Diane (Qualey) HoehneFebruary 27, 1944 ~ July 19, 2017 (age 73)
Kathryn D. Hoehne, 73, Neenah, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at her home after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born February 27, 1944, to the late Gust and Esther (Wasley) Qualey in Thief River Falls, MN. Kathy “Kitty” married the love of her life, Carlton Hoehne in 1966. They shared 39 wonderful years together before his death in 2005. Kathy was employed with Kimberly Clark Corporation for 22 years as an administrative assistant, and was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Neenah. She was a loving wife, caring mother, proud grandmother and unwavering friend. Kathy had many interests and hobbies including reading, sewing, basketweaving and playing musical instruments. Sharing these passions with others is how she forged dedicated, loving friendships and found joy and laughter in every one of them.
She is survived by her children: Karl (Cristin) Hoehne, Cottage Grove, MN; Kristin Hoehne, Neenah; and Craig (Jennifer) Hoehne, Wausau; 4 grandchildren: Joshua, Justin, Mikayla and William Hoehne; 2 siblings: Sheldon "Shadow" (Diane) Qualey, and Janet (Mark) Kujava; sisters- and brothers-in-law: Helen De Bruin and Lorraine Herman, Bob Lorenson, Keith Gram, and Dan Demaske; many other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Kitty was further preceded in death by 3 sisters: Marilyn Lorenson, Gayle Gram, and Linda Demaske; father- and-mother-in-law, William and Clara Hoehne and sisters and brothers-in-law: Jim De Bruin, Bob Herman, Barbara Hoehne, and Carol (Roger) Woulf.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1140 Tullar Rd., Neenah, with Rev. Tabitha Gallatin officiating. A private Inurnment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Kathy’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many friends who impacted her life so significantly.
