Gene W. Huff, age 82 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home in King. Gene was born in Eau Claire, WI. on Flag Day, June 14, 1935. He was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Sweeney) Huff. Gene was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He was a mechanic all his life and worked for many years for the Chrysler Corporation. In his later years, he was also an over the road truck driver. Gene enjoyed traveling extensively and took many day trips. He also enjoyed volunteering with the Color Guard Post 318 in Lake Tomahawk.
Gene is survived by his wife Diane, his children, Gene (Vicky) Huff, Pamela (Scott) Hadfield, Patricia (Eric) Gifford, Susan (Ted) Wares, Anna (Mike) Fuoco, Tina Horner, and a step-daughter, Jodi (Ron) Clesen. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law Lori Huff, a sister-in-law, Margaret Huff, 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Huff, 3 brothers, Zane, Harry and Eddie Huff, and 2 sisters, Florence Delano and Mildred Huff.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah with Pastor Mike Huff and Pastor Gay Frisinger officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. Full military honors will be performed by the Neenah-Menasha Honor Guard following services. A memorial is being established.
