Wing, Kelly A. Kelly Wing, 39, Appleton, was taken from us tragically Friday, April 17, 2009. She was born October 9, 1969, in Merrill, daughter of Thomas M. and Barbara L. (Kessinger) Wing. Kelly was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Appleton. She was employed as an early childhood teacher for many years throughout the Fox River Valley. Kelly was also employed as a CT and EMT at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah and St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. Kelly would have graduated in June as a Paramedic. She enjoyed her children and many pets. Kelly is survived by her parents, Tom and Barbara Wing; 5 children: Noah M. Wing, Scout J. Wing, Jory B. Wing, Kyan S. Wing, Cassidi G. Schmidt; brother, Scott T. Wing, Green Bay; aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends and coworkers. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. A private memorial service was held. Kelly’s family wishes to thank Appleton and Grand Chute Police Departments and staff, Gold Cross Ambulance and staff, Theda Clark Medical Center and staff especially nurse Erin and all those who helped and assisted our family in any way. A memorial fund for Kelly’s children has been established for their college funds. Memorials may be made out to and mailed to Community First Credit Union, P.O. Box 1487, Appleton, WI 54912 in memory of Kelly. Through organ and tissue donation Kelly continues to help others.
Weyenberg, Germaine E. Germaine Weyenberg, 82, Kimberly, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at her residence with her family by her side. Germaine was born June 11, 1926, in Appleton, daughter of John and Henrietta (Van Dreel) Hinkens. She married Eugene W. Weyenberg February 21, 1946, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, and he preceded her in death October 2, 1981. Mrs. Weyenberg enjoyed sewing, knitting, painting, square dancing, cooking and baking. She loved spending time with her family and was a very dedicated mother and grandmother. Germaine was the loving mother of 7 surviving children: Kathleen (Jack) Pemble, Elizabeth (Gary) Hurst, Lynn Hooyman, Mark (Barbara) Weyenberg, Christine (Peter) Prast, Mary (Richard) Reetz, Paul (Wanda) Weyenberg; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; two brothers: Harold (Mary Ellen) Hinkens, Gordon (Joyce) Hinkens; one sister, Mary Ann (Sam) Porto; 2 sisters-in-law: Florence and Agnes Hinkens. Mrs. Weyenberg was also preceded in death by: a stillborn son; a granddaughter, Tammy Sprangers; a grandson, Todd Laux; a son-in-law, Tom Laux; numerous brothers, sisters, brothers- and sisters-in-law. Private services will be held at the Verkuilen Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Leader Dogs for the Blind and the Christian Record Braille Foundation.
