Sylvia Ann Bushman (nee Foth), age 63, passed away at Peabody Manor on Thursday October 25, 2012, after a long fought courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 5, 1949, to the late Walter and Ruth (Collins) Foth.
She graduated from Menasha High School in 1968. Sylvia was united in marriage to Michael Bushman on October 13, 1969, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Menasha, where she currently was also a member.
Sylvia was a loving and caring person to all. She was always ready to give a helping hand. She volunteered her time at Thanksgiving and Christmas helping those less fortunate.
Sylvia loved spending time with her grandchildren. She always looked forward to her yearly vacations with her sisters. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading and getting together with friends for Bunco.
In addition to her husband, Michael, Sylvia will be greatly missed by her children: Brian (Jennifer) Bushman, Town of Menasha and Cassandra (William) Timmer, Town of Menasha; grandchildren: Brianna, Makenna and Olivia Bushman; Dylan and Serena Timmer; 2 brothers: James (Chrysula) Foth, Tacoma, WA; Lynn (Chris) Foth, Broomfield, CO; 3 sisters: E. Patricia (the late Rod) Finley, York, PA; Susan (the late Wayne) Lloyd; Barbara (Bob McGregor) Foth, Neenah; multiple brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. All who knew her loved her.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruth (Collins) Foth; mother-in-law and father-in-law; grandparents; in-laws: Wayne Lloyd, Rod Finley, Michael Danke Sr., a niece and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 324 Nicolet Blvd. with Fr. Larry Abler, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Kessler Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the Mass.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Sylvia’s name.
Sylvia’s family would like to give a big thank you to Dr. Phillips and his team, Oncology 7th Floor at Appleton Medical Center, the surgical nurses on 6th Floor at Theda Clark Medical Center, Theda Care at Home Hospice along with the entire staff at Peabody Manor for their wonderful and loving care and compassion.
