Joseph E. Johnson “Joe”, 66, Neenah, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012. He was born April 3, 1946, in New London, son of Russell and Julia (Jolin) Johnson. Joseph married Wendy M. Downs December 30, 1965.

Mr. Johnson was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah. He was employed at Russ Darrow in sales for many years along with Klein Auto until his retirement. Joseph enjoyed card playing, golfing, trout fishing and took great joy in his grandchildren.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Wendy; 3 sons: Eric (Inaeh) Johnson, Lake Mahopac, NY; Chris (Kristen) Johnson, Mequon; Matthew (Kate) Johnson, Neenah; 7 grandchildren: Ariel, Grace, and Vendela Johnson; Annika and Sophia Johnson; Elsa and Lola Johnson; a brother, John (Karen) Johnson, Shiocton; 4 sisters: Judy (Jack) Tackman, Shiocton; Mary Johnson, Appleton; Jennie Lauzen, Naperville, IL; Midge (Gary) Rueden, Appleton; 2 brothers-in-law: Ryan (Mary) Downs, Appleton; Paul (Rebecca) Downs, NY; a sister-in-law, Stephanie Downs, Hong Kong; nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Julia.

Joe’s family would like to thank their friends and family for their love and support and in particular Jeff and Joan Block.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. Friday at the church until the time of the Mass.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Joseph’s name.
